We have had a long-term professional careers working separately as private architects. Principles of trust, quality, innovation, and hard work have brought us together.

Our company was organized in 2012 as a partnership of architects from Austria and Russia. Working as a team has lead us to the new stage and our company continues to be recognized locally and internationally for its accomplishments and experience in a wide range of sectors.
Who we are
Gerhard Walter
Architect
More than 30 years of professional experience in architecture, construction and historic renovation in Austria, Germany and South Tirol.

Gerhard studied Architecture and Civil Engineering at the University of Innsbruck in Austria, where he received his Degree in Architecture in 1991. He began to build up his career during university years working for the local enterprise HMS. Gerhard has gained an abundance of experience working both for the company as a junior architect, and since 1997 as senior architect and director for his own practice.

His broad list of projects include: renovation of historic buildings, commercial and industrial projects, retail, civil and private homes, as well as educational and sports facilities, including Tyrolean Football Academy in Innsbruck. At the beginning of 2014 Gerhard and his daughter-in-law Julia have joined forces to form a partnership “WALTER architects” allowing them to leverage on their expertise and take their business venture to the next level. 
Julia Walter
Architect/ Interior Designer
Over 14 years of interior design experience on a wide range of residential and commercial projects, from a concept stage to a full completion.

Julia graduated from Vologda State Technical University in Russia and holds a Degree in Architecture and Design. Moreover, her Diploma Project “Reconstruction of the City Central Park” had received an award “the Best Diploma Project of 2005” by the Russia Designers Association.

While studying at the university, Julia began her path as a designer, working on her first residential property interiors. Later on she was employed by several construction companies in Moscow, where she has gained experience in project management, architecture and interior design, developing various projects around the country. In 2011, after moving to Austria she continued to work independently as an interior designer for the Austrian and Russian commercial and residential market. In addition to her expertise in architecture and design, she is working toward a Degree in Business Administration at the Management Center Innsbruck.
